How and Why

It is statistics like these that sometimes makes us feel overwhelmed, as if there was nothing we could possibly do to make a difference.

But there is…

Purchase power is strong.  Choose products with the Coins Helping Kids logo on it and you will make a difference.

"But it's only $.02?  How can that make a difference?"

Imagine your mere two cents being multiplied by thousands.

If a thousand units of one Coins Helping Kids product are sold a day around the country (a very probable number for a national product) that's $20 a day towards the Coins Helping Kids Fund or $7,300 a year.  What's the power in that?

$7,000 can:

  • Pay for after-school program supplies at schools in low-income areas
  • Pay for room and board for the year for former foster kids attending college
  • Help sustain a primary school for the year in Niger, Africa
  • Pay for daycare for a teen mom while she finishes her education
  • Cover the cost of groceries for a year for an impoverished family of four
  • Cover the cost of mortgage and insurance or car payments for a single parent trying to get back on their feet
  • And much, much more.

Look at the difference you helped make with just two cents!

So, what more can you do and how can you get involved? Look for the Coins Helping Kids logo and tell your friends about it.  Encourage the retailers and manufacturers you know to get involved. And lastly, don't underestimate the power you have to make a difference everyday and how much that can mean to even just one person.
